How it was...

Originally, the property was a substantial seven-bedroom detached house with generous proportions and a strong internal layout, centred around a prominent staircase that defined the home’s circulation and sense of scale. While the structure offered clear potential, the interiors and external approach no longer reflected the quality or presence expected of a contemporary luxury residence.

The house had been extensively renovated approximately two decades ago, however the layout, finishes, and external arrangement had become dated and no longer aligned with the lifestyle of the new homeowners. Certain areas required reconfiguration to improve flow, functionality, and day-to-day use, while retaining the underlying architectural strengths of the building.

Externally, the front of the property lacked a clear sense of arrival and practical usability. The clients sought to enlarge the front driveway, introduce a wider sliding entrance gate, and add an additional porch to enhance both convenience and architectural presence. These images document the property prior to works commencing, capturing the original condition and establishing a clear point of reference for the transformation now underway.
